For Immediate Release: Tuesday, March 29th 2016
Crystal City (Arlington, VA) – Spring has most certainly sprung and Crystal City is ready to get you outside to recharge with fresh food offerings at the FRESHFARM Market and tasty lunch options at Food Truck Thursdays.
The popular Crystal City FRESHFARMS Market returns to weekly operations from 3PM to 7PM along Crystal Drive between 18th and 20th Streets starting on Tuesday, April 5th. Shop from nearly 20 local farmers and producers with seasonal fruits and vegetables, fresh-cut flowers, container plants and herbs, farm-raised eggs, all-natural meats, artisan baked goods, specialty foods and much more. Stop by early and pick-up a free Crystal City banner bag from the market’s information table (while supplies last).
Expand your culinary horizons with a different mobile chef each week at Food Truck Thursdays from 11AM to 2PM starting on April 7th. Arrive with an appetite and grab a bite from some of the area’s favorite trucks. Food Truck Thursday has two locations: at the corner of 18th and Crystal Drive; and at the corner of 12th Street and Long Bridge Drive. Follow @ccbid on twitter for weekly updates on who is scheduled and where.
Returning this year on select days is DMV2Go, a full-service DMV office on wheels. The repurposed, environmentally-friendly recreational vehicle is outfitted with three customer-service kiosks and friendly staff to help you with your transactions. See a complete list of transactions possible at the DMV2Go. The service will be available on April 7th, June 2nd, August 4th, and November 3rd from 9AM to 3PM.
Also co-located at 18th and Crystal Drive from 8AM to 3PM is the now weekly Mobile Bike Repair station starting on April 7th. If you need a bike repair or simply a tune-up, show up onsite where walk-ups are welcome or simply schedule an appointment by emailing email@example.com.
And do not forget early bird pricing for the Crystal City 5k Fridays race series ends on Thursday, March 31st and weekly Morning Yoga and Lunchtime Zumba kick off again in May. See you outside!
