Crystal City (Arlington, VA) – With the warming weather, there is now even more reason to get outside in Crystal City. Area residents, employees and visitors are invited to enjoy the beauty of Crystal City’s many parks and open spaces, especially if they have some surfing to do! Last fall, the Crystal City Business Improvement District (BID) completed a significant upgrade and expansion to Crystal Wi-Fi, the area’s free, outdoor, wireless Internet service.
“Crystal Wi-Fi ensures that people in Crystal City don’t need to be tethered to their desks to remain productive,” said Angela Fox, President/CEO of the Crystal City BID. “Taking in some fresh air while getting connected can serve to enhance the health, happiness, and overall morale of our many guests, employees, and residents.”
Crystal Wi-Fi is provided by the Crystal City BID through a creative partnership where Atlantech Online offers free broadband access, Vornado / Charles E. Smith provides access to building roofs for antennae installation, and Wi-Fi Relativity brings the expertise and management of the Wi-Fi infrastructure.
For more information on Crystal Wi-Fi and locations that online access is available, go to www.crystalcity.org or simply log onto “Crystal Wi-Fi” from one of Crystal City’s outdoor spaces.
The Crystal City Business Improvement District (BID) is a public-private partnership established in April 2006 to promote the vibrant Crystal City business, retail, restaurant and residential community.
