Crystal City BID Seeking Proposals for Public Art Activations in Crystal City
Crystal City (Arlington), Va., October 24, 2018 – The Crystal City Business Improvement District (BID) is seeking temporary public art proposals to activate vacant and open spaces as part of their ongoing effort to enliven and connect the public realm. The application deadline is November 2, 2018.
The goal of the activations is to support temporary public art in vacant, open and underutilized spaces in order to expand the cultural experience, encourage community dialogue, promote placemaking and interaction, and support visual beautification in Crystal City.
Professional public artists or artist groups, art consultant organizations, and curators are eligible to apply. Applicants must show a proven history of successfully managing and completing publicly-funded projects with budgets of equivalent scale.
