ADVANCE YOUR FLOW! (4 week Series) This four part workshop series is designed to give you the power to modify your vinyasa yoga practice WITHOUT teacher cues. Throughout this four part series you'll dive deeper into your practice with arm balances, props, twists and back bends, Finally, this series will encourage you to flow like you never have before! The series is geared toward students seeking more options in their practice, but is open to anyone with an open and playful mind towards yoga. A variety of arm balances, inversions, props, and challenge postures will be explored. You might fall but you are in safe hands and you will probably see something new, and you will be challenged beyond your normal practice. See what comes up. Series is capped at 10 participants Sundays 10:00am-12:00pm (Gizella Lead Teacher) - Starting Sunday May 19th 5/19, 6/2, 6/16, 6/23 Advance Your Flow Series Price: $169 (for 2 hr classes, 4 weeks) To Reserve Contact: 703-567-1290 OR info@mindyourbodyoasis.com Arm Balances Transitions - May 19th, 10am-12pm Join Oasis Yoga Instructor Gizella, for the first of four sessions focused on advancing your vinyasa flow practice. This 2-hour session will focus on adding arm balances and inversions to your regular vinyasa practice. We’ll start by breaking down chaturanga alignment and modifications. Then we’ll look at poses we see all the time in class and how to advance poses by flowing into inversions and arm balances. We’ll first break down the arm balance/inversion, and then look and work through transitions to add them to your regular practice. What is Flow? - June 2nd, 10am-12pm Join Oasis Yoga Instructor Gizella, for the second of four sessions focused on advancing your vinyasa practice. This 2-hour session will first discuss what the heck “flow” means in yoga. We will discuss the core engagement required to make your practice look and feel more fluid and proper breath-to posture technique so that your practice becomes more engaged, steady, and meditative. Deepening Twists and Backbends - June 16th, 10am-12pm Join Oasis Yoga Instructor Gizella, for the third of four sessions focused on advancing your vinyasa practice. This 2-hour session will focus on deepening twists and backbends in your regular vinyasa practice. Utilize straps and blocks to build the foundations of an efficient and safe twist and backbending practice, and begin to add elements such as binds and challenging balance options to help advance your practice. How to Use Props - June 23rd, 10am-12pm Join Oasis Yoga Instructor Gizella, for the final session of the Advance Your Flow four part series focused on advancing your vinyasa practice. This 2-hour session will focus on how to use props in an advanced practice. We will first explore how to use props effectively to ease yourself into difficult poses. We will then explore how to use props in an advanced practice to further intensify already advanced poses. Props used will include straps, blocks, and blankets.
