Crystal Car: A Father's Day Auto Festival
Celebrate this Father’s Day in style amongst heavy machinery and horsepower at Crystal Car: A Father's Day Auto Festival. The day will feature a variety of exciting automobile categories including innovative electric vehicles, area sports car auto clubs, classic muscle cars, and a beer garden hosted by the Washington Wine Academy. Blues, Brews and Barks
Set outside in the beautiful 2121 Crystal Drive courtyard, Blues, Brews and Barks is the perfect place to relax after work with man's best friend. Grab some delicious take-out from local restaurants and kick back to the tunes from some of the best local music the area has to offer. Enjoy a beverage at the Beer Garden, featuring hops hand-selected by experts at Crystal City’s Washington Wine Academy and Crystal City Wine Shop. In partnership with the Crystal City Business Improvement District (BID), Vornado/Charles E. Smith and the Washington Wine Academy, Blues, Brews and Barks will run every Wednesday in June from 5 PM to 8 PM. Wine in the Water Park
Vintage Crystal’s “Wine in the Water Park” combines sips and sounds to create an ambient outdoor event featuring interesting wine varietals and great music in the neighborhood’s signature Crystal City Water Park. Wine selection and service is provided by Crystal City’s own Washington Wine Academy. Expert noses from WWA help guests select and enjoy the perfect wine for an after work beverage to kick-off the weekend right amidst the calming sounds of falling water mixed with live music. The event takes place every Friday in June from 6pm to 10pm. Don't miss out on the online presale, and get discounted drink tickets (while supplies last).

ArtJamz Crystal City will give our intrepid Artjammers a chance to create an original work of art while being inspired by the beauty of the surrounding water works, multiple wine varietals and live music. For $20, ArtJamz Crystal City customers get a 12 x 16 canvas, 1.5 hours of creating time, paints and art materials, easel and smock rental and helpful tips and guidance from our art-trained team of creative enablers. Summer is almost here, and the Crystal City Business Improvement District (BID) wants your feedback. Over the course of the past eight years, the Crystal City BID has worked to change how people see, perceive, and experience Crystal City. In our continued efforts to transform Crystal City, we want your input about events, programs, and the Crystal City area as a whole. Monday Morning Yoga
Crystal City’s FREE Monday Morning Yoga takes place every Monday morning at 7:00am. Amateur and seasoned yogis can join professional instructors from Mind Your Body Oasis and flex their way into the week with Monday Morning Meditation and Yoga in the Crystal City Water Park across from 1750 Crystal Drive. In the event of inclement weather, the class will be held inside at Mind Your Body Oasis.

Crystal Screen: Spark Espionage
Crystal Screen: Spark Espionage continues tonight with Mission Impossible III. The Crystal City BID hosts a free outdoor film festival every Monday in the summer. With the help of Moonflicks, a courtyard in Crystal City is transformed into a movie theater. There is no better place to meet friends, bring a picnic, and enjoy an evening under the stars. The movies start after sunset.

Crystal City FRESHFARM Farmers Market
Spark Fresh and shop at the popular FRESHFARMS Market. Enjoy products from 20 local farmers and producers with seasonal fruits and vegetables, fresh-cut flowers, container plants and herbs, farm-raised eggs, all-natural meats, artisan baked goods, specialty foods and much more. Celebrate the return of the FRESHFARMS market with a beer and wine garden serving refreshing drinks. The market is every Tuesday from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at 1900 Crystal Drive. On the first Tuesday of every month, the market will have a beer/wine garden featuring products from local breweries/wineries.

Outdoor Zumba
The Courtyard at 2121 Crystal Drive starts to heat up on Wednesdays with outdoor Zumba. Join the Crystal City BID, Sport and Health fitness club, and Vornado/Charles E. Smith for free Zumba in the courtyard of 2121 Crystal Drive. Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Classes begins at 12:00p and are run through September 30th. Come out and join the party!

Sparket: A Creative Market
The eclectic and colorful shopping experience of Eastern Market returns to Crystal City with Sparket – A Creative Market. Featuring a diverse mix of arts, crafts, handmade jewelry, accessories, bath and beauty products and other local, handcrafted products as well as live-music and select food products, Sparket aims to provide a new lunchtime attraction for area workers, hotel guests, and residents. Sparket will be open every Wednesday through November 25th from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at 1900 Crystal Drive.

Everything Esmonde
Everything Esmonde will be open at Food Truck Thursdays for bike service every other week. The next Everything Esmonde will be June 25th. If you need a bike repair or simply a tune-up, walk-ups are welcome! You can also schedule an appointment by emailing

Food Truck Thursdays
Arrive hungry and Spark Scrumptious at Food Truck Thursdays from 11 AM to 2 PM! The food trucks gather in the parking lot on Crystal Drive between 18th and 20th Streets. Actual truck schedules are subject to change so be sure to follow your favorites.

American Red Cross Blood Drive and Open House at the DoubleTree Hotel
The DoubleTree Crystal City is hosting a blood drive on Monday, June 22nd from noon to 5:00pm. It is an opportunity to donate blood, make a difference, enjoy DoubleTree cockies, and see their newly renovated hotel. Each blood drive participant will also be eligible to win one of three prizes including a weekend stay or dinner at the Skydome Lounge. Email to sign up.

Crystal City Mobifactory
The summer of innovation at the new Crystal City Mobifactory (Mobi) has started and will continue through the end of August. Open to the public, the Mobi will offer free weekly how-to classes on the “Science of Drifting” and “3D-Printing 101.” Each month, visitors are invited to participate in drag race slalom courses or join a trike group to tour the best places to ride drift trikes in the area. July 4th Celebration at Long Bridge Park
On Saturday, July 4, 2015 from 5-10 p.m., the 2015 July 4th Celebration @ Long Bridge Park will be filled with fun games and activities, delicious food, awesome live music and a great view of Washington, DC’s fireworks display! Public Meeting on June 23 for Boundary Channel Drive Project
The County is hosting a public information meeting on Tuesday, June 23 at Aurora Hills Community Center for the project to replace and improve the interchange of Boundary Channel Drive, Interstate 395 and Long Bridge Drive. Synetic Theater: A Tale of Two Cities
What happens if you put together an aspiring drag queen and a crying baby? Discover for yourself on the stage of Synetic Theater this Spring, when Company Member Alex Mills stars in A Tale of Two Cities, directed by Serge Seiden. Originally performed Off-Broadway to rave reviews by Everett Quinton, this irreverent comedy tells the story of a drag queen named Jerry who finds the baby at his door! To calm the child down, he enacts the entirety of Charles Dickens’s A Tale of Two Cities – playing all the characters himself! The show runs through June 21st. Tickets on sale now!

Painting Uncorked
Create a piece of art while sipping wine! No experience required. Taught by Studio Underground artist Justyne Fischer, these 2-hour classes will result in an original piece of art you can take home and enjoy. Created by YOU! Fee covers wine and all materials.Come with your friends and uncork your hidden artist! Must be 21 years of age or over to participate. Class is 2 hours from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm.
