Marine Corps Marathon
October 26th - 9:30am to 2:00pm - Come out and give runners a boost for miles 22, 23, and 24! This year's Marine Corps Marathon features a family-friendly fall festival with a variety of activities including arts and crafts, face painting, moonbounces, balloon animals, circus activities and more!

FRESHFARM Farmers Market Harvest Festival
On Tuesday, October 7th, enjoy the Crystal City Harvest Party at the Crystal City FRESHFARM Market from 3 to 7 PM. Sample apple cider and enjoy the latest produce and goods that this season has to offer. The market is located on Crystal Drive between 18th and 20th Streets.

Sparket Harvest Festival
Celebrate Autumn on Wednesday, October 8th from 11am - 2pm in Crystal City at 1900 Crystal Drive, with a Fall Fest at SPARKET - Creative Market. Welcome the falling of the leaves with FREE mini-pumpkins for your desks and warm apple cider as you stroll the market. As always,SPARKET will showcase the best local art around with hand-crafted jewelry, illustrated stationary, home accents, organic bath & body products, upcycled designs and so much more. Plus, snap a pic of your experience at the market using ‪#sparket and enter to win a $25 gift certificate to SPARKET or one of your favorite Crystal City restaurants. The Island of Dr. Moreau
Through November 2 - Synetic Theater - Synetic Artistic Director Paata Tsikurishvili directs and appears as the title character in H.G. Wells’ mystical and savage story. Sometime in the future, a shipwrecked survivor is rescued to a remote island inhabited by the deranged Dr. Moreau and his “children” – experimental human-like animals or animal-like humans. This highly physical and immersive tale set to original and haunting music will create an intriguing and horrifying world to remember. Tickets on sale now!

Fashion and Food Truck Thursday
Thursdays - Get your lunchtime Food Truck fix at Food Truck Thursday. Actual truck schedules are subject to change so be sure to follow your favorites. The Crystal City BID has a new partnership with DC Fashion Truck Tour that brings our successful pop-up clothing shop and fashion show, the Crystal Couture Show and Sale, outside onto the sidewalk of Crystal Drive. The emerging evolution of the mobile vending industry brings fully functional stores on wheels, complete with inventory, dressing room, and friendly staff, directly to their customers’ neighborhoods.

Everything Esmonde
Thursday, October 16th - 18th & Crystal Drive - Everything Esmonde will be open for bike service every other Thursday through October 30th.  If you need a bike repair or simply a tune-up, walk-ups are welcome! You can also schedule an appointment by emailing or calling 202-657-2316.  

ART 92 is Launching
Starting Monday, October 6, ART 92 provides a convenient way to get around the Crystal City area on weekdays. Stops include the Crystal City Metro and VRE stations, Crystal Gateway hotel, the soccer fields at Long Bridge Park, and the Pentagon Metro station. The route also serves as a shuttle for those working at the Boeing building to get to the Metro or VRE. Click here for schedule and map.

Jaleo Paella Festival
October 6 - October 19th - Jaleo Crystal City - Chef José Andrés and his culinary team at Jaleo are proud to announce the 12th annual Paella Festival. Celebrating one of Spain’s most iconic dishes, the two-week event will feature traditional, regional and innovative paellas from across Spain as well as a specialty cocktail. On October 8th, experience paella with Spanish wines at Jaleo Crystal City as they welcome Arrayán Vineyards of Méntrida, Spain for a special wine-tasting dinner. Painting Uncorked
Thursdays, October 23, and November 20 - Gallery Underground - Create a piece of art while sipping wine! No experience required. Taught by Studio Underground artist Justyne Fischer, these 2-hour classes will result in an original piece of art you can take home and enjoy. Created by YOU!
