Bike to Work Week
May 12th through 16th - 7:00am to 9:00am - Friday, May 16th is National Bike to Work Day! The Crystal City BID is challenging area commuters to take the Bike to Work Week (BTWW) Challenge and ride to work every day of week. The 50 riders that show up the most number of mornings during pit stop hours, will receive a free, Crystal Ride Messenger Bag!

Bulb Blitz Rescheduled
May 14th - 9:30am - 2121 Crsytal Drive - The Floral Frenzy Bulb Blitz has been rescheduled to Wednesday, May 14th. The Bulb Blitz invites area residents and workers to dig in on the fun of removing the thousands of tulip bulbs along Crystal City Drive in preparation for the Spring seasonal plantings.

Phoenix Derby
May 17th - 2:00pm to 6:00pm - 1900 Crystal Drive - The Crystal City Phoenix Derby is a unique cycling event that combines speed and high-energy fun in a cool urban environment while showcasing the D.C. region’s only youth-oriented bike nonprofit organization. The Crystal City Phoenix Derby features a variety of race formats including a non-competitive open course ride, a head-to-head stationary sprint race, team relays, and a special kid’s course.

Crystal Car Registration
June 15th - Do you have a prized car that you love to show off? Registration is open for Crystal Car. The Father's Day car festival is a great opportunity to show off your wheels while hanging out and connecting with fellow car enthusiasts. Click here to register.

Monday Morning Yoga
Through September 29th - 7:00am - Crystal City Water Park - Join the Crystal City BID and Mind Your Body Oasis for free yoga in the Crystal City Water Park at 7:00am on Monday mornings from May through September.

FRESHFARM Farmers Market
Tuesdays - Through November 25th - 3:00pm to 7:00pm - Celebrating its sixth year, the Crystal City FRESHFARM Market returns to its original location on Crystal Drive between 18th and 20th Streets, and offers shopping from local farmers and producers.

Outdoor Zumba
Through September 24 - Noon - 2121 Crystal Drive - Join the Crystal City BID, Sport and Health fitness club, and Vornado/Charles E. Smith for free Zumba in the courtyard of 2121 Crystal Drive. Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Come out and join the party

Fashion and Food Truck Thursday
Get your lunchtime Food Truck fix at Food Truck Thursday. Actual truck schedules are subject to change so be sure to follow your favorites. The Crystal City BID has a new partnership with DC Fashion Truck Tour that brings our successful pop-up clothing shop and fashion show, the Crystal Couture Show and Sale, outside onto the sidewalk of Crystal Drive. The emerging evolution of the mobile vending industry brings fully functional stores on wheels, complete with inventory, dressing room, and friendly staff, directly to their customers’ neighborhoods.

FotoWalk Underground
Hallways of Art Underground - Enjoy the 150 spectacular photographs, including the winners of the 2013 FotoWeekDC International Awards Competition, Uncover / Discover, FotoBazaar, the Annual Youth Contest and FotoDC Favorites.

Open Office Hours at Disruption HQ

Three Men in a Boat at Synetic Theater
May 8th through June 8th - Synetic Theater - Jerome K. Jerome’s delightful travelogue tells the story of three young men suffering from a severe case of “overwork”. Accompanied by their dutiful terrier Montmorency, they take a boating holiday through the country, getting into one satirically hilarious predicament after another along the way. Adapted from a novel consistently ranked as one of the funniest of all time, this production will be directed by a renowned area director Derek Goldman and choreographed by Synetic’s Irina Tsikurishvili. National Bike Challenge
Join the Crystal City BID in helping Arlington County lead the nation in the National Bike Challenge from May 1 to September 30. Participants and their respective communities are pitted in a friendly competition to cycle as many days and miles as possible. Monthly prizes are available through the League of American Bicyclists and other event sponsors. The Crystal City BID will also be offering a custom Banjo Brothers Backback to the team member with the highest total at the end of the season. Visit to sign up and look for the Crystal Ride Team!

Painting Uncorked at Gallery Underground

296 Project Fundraiser
June 6th - Gallery Underground - Gallery Underground is hosting a fundraiser for The 296 Project. The fundraiser will feature the work of Kristin Beck, the very first (and still only) Transgendered US Navy SEAL who attributes her art as having kept her from suicide on a number of occasions.
