Crystal City

We’re proud to announce #LoveNationalLanding, a new art campaign designed to enliven our streetscape and unify the community, while also highlighting the work of local businesses and artists. We kicked off the campaign by unveiling an array of vibrant artwork on storefronts around National Landing. Take a socially distant walk and see if you can find them all!

We invite you to join us as we switch things up a bit this year and find the joy in safe solo rides, whether you are heading to the grocery store, around the block, or out on the Mount Vernon trail!

Register online with Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA), and you’ll be entered into a giveaway and receive a BINGO card full of fun, socially-distant activity suggestions to share on social media or stick on the fridge.

And for our dedicated Bike to Work Week enthusiasts, head to our Facebook Page to learn how you can earn your exclusive bike gear!

10,000 Meals in May

Amazon has partnered with Arlington institution Freddie’s Beach Bar and Restaurant, which will coordinate with neighboring restaurants on Crystal City's 23rd Street Restaurant Row to provide 10,000 meals to public safety officers, healthcare workers, and Arlington residents in need during the month of May. In addition to supplying lunch and dinner to the frontlines and our most vulnerable during the COVID-19 crisis, the program will bring much-needed funds to a number of local restaurants that will be providing the meals each day.

The BID is joining this worthy cause and making the effort more sustainable by supplying Boxed Water and compostable packaging for each meal.
