Phoenix Bikes Arlington Fun Ride

Saturday, October 13
8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

This scenic, family-friendly bike ride will give the anticipated 250+ participants a chance to experience the paved, multi-use trails that make up the “Arlington Loop.” Riders may choose to start at any of the 4 rest stops along the loop to complete 16-, 12-, 8- and 4-mile distances, ending at our Environmental Action Festival at the finish in Crystal City!

Construction contract approved for final phase of Crystal Drive two-way conversion

Arlington County

This month the County Board approved the construction contract for the Crystal Drive two-way conversion's final phase, which will convert Crystal Drive between 26th and 27th Streets South to two-way operation. Construction is expected to begin in late 2018 and last approximately nine months.

Improvements Coming to 14th Street Bridge Bike Connector Path

National Park Service

Beginning Monday, September 24, the National Park Service will start work to improve the bicycle and pedestrian trail that connects the north terminus of the 14th Street Bridge with East Basin Drive near the Thomas Jefferson Memorial.

Federico Opens Its Doors As a Successor to Crystal City’s Cafe Italia

Federico Ristorante Italiano, the spiritual successor to Crystal City’s Cafe Italia, is now open for business. Co-owner Freddie Lutz, who also runs the eponymous Freddie’s Beach Bar, told ARLnow that the revived restaurant held its grand opening Sunday (Sept. 30).

Shutdown for Repairs Rescheduled for Metro’s Blue, Yellow Lines

A four-day construction project for Metro’s Yellow and Blue lines has been rescheduled to reduce the impact on commuters. Work on replacing a series of switches and installing new concrete pads outside of Reagan National Airport will close the Reagan National Airport and Crystal City stations.
