The Armed Forces Cycling Classic Challenge Ride, proudly brought to you by The Boeing Company, is back in Crystal City on Sunday June 11th! The Challenge Ride is an amateur, non-competitive, participatory ride, open to cyclists of all abilities. All participants will start and end in Crystal City. The ride will be held on a closed, 15km circuit in and around the Pentagon, Crystal City and the Air Force Memorial. Register today!

Summer Arts and Technology Kids Camp
Summer 2017
Registration is now open for the Crystal City Art and Technology kids summer camp. Merging the arts with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) topics, the camp fosters innovative thinking, creative problem solving, and command for fine arts principles to shape the world's future professionals, artists, scientists, and engineers. Campers participate in a variety of fun, hands-on activities to gain exposure to painting, digital art and design, fabrication, performing arts, and creative writing. Learn more or register here.

Unique to Crystal City, this weekly parking garage bicycle race series challenges elite and amateur cyclists alike to compete for weekly prizes and points in pursuit of the series title. Earth Treks Crystal City
Last Week!
Trek Tuesdays is a great way to try out rock climbing at Earth Treks Crystal City. No prior experience is necessary and it's fun for all ages! Guests will have a free opportunity to climb in the bouldering areas with an Earth Treks climbing instructor. Afterwards, guests can tour the rest of the Earth Treks Crystal City facility and learn more about their roped climbing, fitness offerings, and yoga classes. Be sure to fill out the waiver online in order to save some time.

Mobile Bike Repair by Velofix

Get those nagging bicycle repairs taken care of while you are at work with Mobile Bicycle Services by Velofix. Simply drop off your bike on Thursday morning and have it tuned up and ready to ride before heading home. Velofix will be set up at 1900 Crystal Drive from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM every Thursday April through October. Appointments can be made at velofix.com using the Crystal City zip code (22202) beginning April 3rd, but walk ups are always welcome. South Park at Potomac Yards Planning Meeting

Participate in the second public meeting to help the County design a Park Master Plan for South Park - located between Route 1 and Potomac Avenue, and adjacent to Four Mile Run waterway and bike trail. Staff will share information on the project and conduct a visioning exercise to further determine the preferred mix of park elements and their potential placement. County staff will also introduce the park naming process and solicit potential names for South Park.

Virginia Railway Express - Crystal City Station Improvements Public Meetings

The public is invited to two upcoming events where you can learn more and provide comments on the Virginia Railway Express (VRE) Crystal City Station Improvements project. The current phase of the project is focused on identifying a location in Crystal City for a reconfigured station with a longer platform served by two tracks.

Please join us on Wednesday, March 29th from 3:00-6:30 P.M. at the Crystal City VRE Station, where staff will be available to discuss how a new station can provide opportunities to better serve Crystal City’s vision for growth.

On Thursday, March 30th from 5:00-7:30 P.M. at 2011 Crystal Drive on the 11th Floor VRE will be holding a public meeting where you can learn more about the project and provide comment on the proposed options for station location and factors that should be considered when VRE evaluates those alternatives.
