The Floral Frenzy’s Tropical Storm allows area residents and workers to rescue tropical ferns and other plants that would otherwise be thrown into the compost pile! Marine Corps Marathon
18th Street and Crystal Drive
Sunday, October 30th - 9:30am to 2:00pm
Crystal City streets enliven with over 30,000 runners during the 41th annual Marine Corps Marathon, where spectators can spark dedication and experience fun for all ages. The festival will include engaging activities like moon bounces, face painting, arts and crafts, cotton candy, balloon animals, circus activities, and more.

The eclectic and colorful shopping experience of Eastern Market returns to 1900 Crystal Drive with Sparket – A Creative Market for a Spring Market from May to June. Featuring a diverse mix of arts, crafts, handmade jewelry, accessories, bath and beauty products and other local, handcrafted products as well as live-music and select food products, Sparket aims to provide a new lunchtime attraction for area workers, hotel guests, and residents.

Arlington Mosquito Information Center
Arlington Public Health Department is taking action to control mosquitoes and prevent mosquito bites as part of its broader Zika prevention efforts. With recent media coverage of the Zika virus, and the mosquito season in Arlington continuing through October when the first frost occurs, we must remain vigilant in all our efforts to prevent the local mosquito population from breeding and carrying diseases like the Zika virus. Arlington County has simple steps to take that will help to control mosquito populations, prevent mosquito bites, and more information on their website.

Bikes For The World - Warehouse Sale

Bikes for the World, the nation’s largest bicycle re-use charity, is vacating its Pentagon City warehouse and needs to sell surplus items. These are quality items considered un-required for our current charity program. There will be 100+ quality road and commuter bikes, a few dozen mountain, children's, and vintage bikes, plus hundreds of bike parts & accessories (i.e. locks, wheels, tires, travel cases, bike racks - hitch, trunk, and roof-mounted), along with shelving and other warehouse fixtures.

Students are introduced to the art of storytelling without words through imagination, illusions, and physical comedy.

The Miraculous Magical Balloon

A series of hilarious sketches synthesizing music, ballet, clowning, and audience participation. Students will discover the art of acting without words, opening the door to their imaginations. Expressed through body and facial masks, pantomime illusions, and unique choreography, ‘Balloon’ tells a wonderful story of a traveling actor and his magical trunk of tricks and toys.
