TASTE WINE ALONG A FUN, INDOOR COURSE – January 14 & 15, 2012
Inaugural 1K Beer Walk Next Weekend – January 21 & 22, 2012
CRYSTAL CITY, VA — Get ready to lace up your walking shoes and sip your way to the finish line, but you won’t find energy drinks along the way. Instead, walkers can sample more than 30 different wines as they make their way through a fun, indoor course at the Crystal City Shops during the one and only 1K Wine Walk this weekend (January 14, 15). Presented by the Crystal City Business Improvement District and Washington Wine Academy, the event returns for two days in 2012. Walkers can tap into even more fun with the inaugural 1K Beer Walk the next weekend.
Avoid the winter weather by cruising the indoor course with heats starting every half hour from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm. With 20 wine or beer tasting tickets and bread and cheese, walkers have their pick of sips and snacks along the way. At the finish line, walkers are rewarded for their efforts with a 1K race T-shirt.
