CRYSTAL CITY (ARLINGTON), VA, - Sip your way through September in Crystal City as the Vintage Crystal brand expands with six great events. After a wildly successful launch in June, the Washington Wine Academy and Wine in the Water Park return for five Friday evenings in September. On Sunday, September 18th, Vintage Crystal: A Taste of Wine and Jazz returns to the plaza at 220 20th Street for an afternoon of delicious wine sips, delectable bites, daring dance moves, and delightful music. Hosted by the Crystal City Business Improvement District (BID), these events give everyone from the casual taster to the serious sipper a chance to enjoy some wonderful wines in Crystal City’s many fantastic outdoor spaces.

About Wine in the Water Park
Wine in the Water Park brings the mood-setting, ambient music of DJ Adrian Loving, wine and beer carefully selected by the Washington Wine Academy, and free snacks from Jaleo to the Crystal City Water Park (across from 1750 Crystal Drive). Taking place every Friday in September (September 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th) from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the event gives residents, office workers, and visitors a great place to unwind after the work week.
About Vintage Crystal: A Taste of Wine and Jazz
Like a fine wine, Vintage Crystal: A Taste of Wine and Jazz only gets better with age. Entering its fifth year, the annual event highlights the wines of Spain, Argentina, and Chile. Patrons have the opportunity to taste 30 different wines from the cellar of the Jaleo Wine Store, as well as enjoy samples from more than 20 different local restaurants. Latin jazz music from Trio Caliente, salsa dancing from the Salsa Room, and wine classes from the Washington Wine Academy will round out the day. Vintage Crystal: With a Latin Twist is Sunday, September 18th from 2:00pm – 6:00pm. Tickets cost $20, include tastings and a wine glass, and can be purchased at the event.
The September line-up adds to the growing Vintage Crystal brand which includes the annual Vintage Crystal: A Taste of Wine and Jazz, Wine in the Water Park, the 1K Wine Walk, high end wine offerings at area restaurants, and our very own source for wine education – the Washington Wine Academy.
