Crystal City’s 1K Wine Walk - Putting Some Sip in your Step

CRYSTAL CITY, VA— Calling all athletes and couch-potatoes alike! Cross the start line into the shops of Crystal City, and rest your weary legs periodically at our hydration stations along the race course- but you won’t find any sports drinks or bananas here- just wine! Presented by the Crystal City Business Improvement District in partnership with the Washington Wine Academy, the 1K Wine Walk promises “racers” the opportunity to taste 20 of the 45 wines available as they make their way through the shops and interior walkways of Crystal City.

On Saturday, February 26th, tasters will have the option of heats taking place every half hour from 2 PM to 5 PM to make their way through 20 tastes (tasting tickets) while snacking on cheese and bread. In addition to great wines, tasters will also have the opportunity to take in photographs on display from finalists and youth category winners from FotoWeek DC before ending up at the “finish festival” in the former food court turned tasting lounge.
