EVERCLEAR to Headline 4th Annual Crystal Rocks Concert
Crystal City (Arlington, VA) - The Crystal City Business Improvement District (BID) announced that multi-platinum rock band Everclear will headline the 4th Annual Crystal Rocks on Sunday, June 8 from 2-6PM, located at 2200 Crystal Drive between 23rd and 20th Street. The street concert is free and open to the public.
“Crystal City, in this case literally, rocks,” said Angela Fox, President/CEO of the Crystal City Business Improvement District, “We love hosting this outdoor concert every year – it’s fun, it’s for families, and it creatively ties open spaces together. Everclear is sure to rock the streets of Crystal City.”

Well-known for performing a dynamic and eclectic array of covers, Everclear has gathered the best of these recordings for the 2008 collection The Vegas Years (Capitol/EMI), released April 15 marking Everclear's 15th year as recording artists. The disc features 14 recorded covers from 1994 to 2008, including versions of the Go-Go's "Our Lips Are Sealed," Hall & Oates' "Rich Girl" and Paul Revere & The Raiders' "Kicks."
Everclear also marked their seven-studio album canon of original material with multi-million sales, critical praise, a Grammy nomination and awards including the 1998 Billboard “Modern Rock Artist of the Year.” Everclear hits include “Santa Monica,” “Everything To Everyone,” “I Will Buy You A New Life,” “Father Of Mine” and “Wonderful.”
Flip Like Wilson will open the music fest at 2 p.m. Audience members are encouraged to explore Crystal City’s noteworthy restaurants and cafes before and after the concert, and to bring blankets and chairs for the outdoor festivities. Concert-goers can take Metro to Crystal City or park for free in area garages.
The BID is promoting the concert with premier partners MIX 107.3 and the Crystal City Marriott. This is the fourth consecutive year Crystal City has organized this concert. Past headliners include the Gin Blossoms, Vertical Horizon and Big Bad Voodoo Daddies.
