Crystal City BID Announces Vintage Crystal – A Taste of Wine & Jazz

August 27, 2007, Crystal City (Arlington, VA) – Autumn is approaching and Crystal City is celebrating with an afternoon wine and jazz event. The Crystal City Business Improvement District (BID) will host Vintage Crystal – A Taste of Wine & Jazz on Sunday, September 30, 2007 in the heart of Crystal City.

 

From 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the courtyard at 2121 Crystal Drive, this event will feature sips from notable wine regions, perfectly paired with gourmet food tastes, against a backdrop of world music produced by DC’s own Duke Ellington Jazz Festival.   Over 25 wines from around the world, including selections from the US, Spain, Australia and Italy will be provided. The BID has also partnered with several notable food experts, including BEBO Trattoria, BIN 1700, Cabot Creamery, JALEO, Las Tasca, Lebanese Taverna, and Ruth’s Chris Steak House to provide delicious tastes that complement the wines. A full listing can be found on our website: http://www.crystalcity.org/eventdetail.asp?IdEvent=202.

 

“If wine is your livelihood or just a hobby, Crystal City is the place to be on Sunday, September 30,” says Executive Director, Angie Fox. “We invite everyone to come spend a leisurely afternoon in Crystal City tasting some of the world's great wines and sampling tasty treats. The sounds of talented artists hand-picked and produced by the Duke Ellington Jazz Festival in one of Crystal City’s beautiful signature court yards will create a lovely ambiance for any wine or food enthusiast.”

 

Tickets are $10 and include wine samples, food tastes, music and a commemorative wine glass. Wrist bands will be provided onsite with tickets. Designated drivers and kids are free.
