A Talk for Families Do you want to create a loving and supportive home environment for your children? Do you worry about having too much or too little discipline? Then join us on Friday, February 26, for a talk by Sharifa Oppenheimer on "Family Culture and the Role of Discipline". Ms. Oppenheimer taught kindergarten for 21 years at the Charlottesville, Virginia, Waldorf School and is a master teacher at Rudolf Steiner College near Sacramento. Ms. Oppenheimer will discuss the many aspects of family life including family rhythms, family work and play, children’s artistic expression and stories, and child’s play--and how all these facets work together to create a living container to carry each member of the family. She will also discuss how discipline begins with a healthy balance of all these elements and what to do when everything is in order and your child still misbehaves. Ms. Oppenheimer will speak from 7 to 9 pm, on February 26, at the Potomac Crescent Waldorf School, 923 South 23rd Street, Arlington, Virginia. A $5.00 donation is suggested. No registration is necessary. Adults only please. For more information, please contact Potomac Crescent at 703-486-1309 or visit www.potomaccrescentschool.org.
