WATER - Crystal City Creature
Artist – Bryce Beamer & Daniel Hoffman – Studio KMD

The Crystal City Creature is a digital life form that converts solar power into the energy it needs to sustain life. Inspired by bio-luminescent sea life, the creature absorbs energy from the sun during the day through its solar panels as it journeys through the water. At night, the creature expels the stored energy providing a dazzling light show.
The creature is cast from a durable silicone material and embedded with LEDs and phosphorescent pigment that will mimic the spectacular display of the Crystal City Creature’s organic counterparts. The creature is roughly 54” long and 14” wide.
EARTH - Illuminated Towers
Artist – Joseph Petty

Symbolizing the illuminated skyline of Crystal City, illuminated towers combines natural and artificial elements. Constructed of 1x2” pine and illuminated internally by solar-powered LED fixtures, multiple towers will be placed on each of the six grassy knolls of the Water Park. Various colored lenses will be installed within each tower providing a unique visual experience for observers.
AIR - Crystal Chandeliers
Artist – Lynda Andrews-Barry

Inspired by the origination of Crystal City’s name, a crystal chandelier in the area’s first high-rise apartment building, Crystal Chandeliers will produce pleasant tones and attractive illumination.
About four Chandeliers ranging between 2’ and 4’ in diameter and constructed from reclaimed aluminum and copper from local recycling facilities will be securely suspended from the Sycamore Trees within the Water Park. The surfaces will be painted with a photoluminescent paint that will provide an illumination for up to eight hours.
