In April of 2007, the Crystal City BID welcomed Artomatic to Crystal City which brought a unique business and arts collaboration and more than 650 artists and 32,000 visitors. Artomatic creates community, builds audience and expands economic development by transforming available space into a playground for artistic expression. Unjuried events showcase creative work in visual art, music, film, performance, and fashion. The event triggered record-breaking nights at area restaurants and generated significant media coverage throughout the metropolitan area.
