Crystal Couture
The Crystal Couture fashion show and boutique sale is an one-of-a-kind event that can only be found in Crystal City. Couture annually transforms an underused or empty area into a high end fashion event. It brings over 40 of the metropolitan area’s most stylish boutiques and designers all under one roof and many of the metro area’s hottest models to the runway. All types of design are displayed at this showcase, from kids clothing to wild Saturday night outfits.
Couture - Fashion in an Office Building
The 5th annual Crystal Couture will be the biggest and best so far. Crystal Couture already brings over 40 of the metropolitan area’s most stylish boutiques and designers all under one roof, and the Crystal City BID is expecting even more in 2013 because of its new location. Couture was moved to an office building which has more space to house a bigger runway and more boutiques. This one-stop shopping experience lets guests browse discounted offerings on the rack AND on the runway as models showcase offerings of the participating boutiques. Shoppers will also enjoy sips from the bar, free make-up and hair makeovers, chats with fashion consultants, music from DJ Neekola, and experience a one-of-a-kind ambiance.
Couture - Fashion in a Food Court
he two years of Crystal Couture in the Food Court were a huge success. This huge, open spaced allowed us to expand Couture to make it an even bigger event. Guests browsed discounted offerings on the rack AND on the runway as models showcased offerings of participating boutiques. Shoppers also enjoyed sips from the bar, free make-up and hair makeovers, chats with fashion consultants, music from DJ Neekola, and experienced the one-of-a-kind ambiance that is Crystal Couture!
The show portion of Crystal Couture brought a high quality, professional fashion show complete with gorgeous DC area models (including America’s Next Top Model contestant Bianca Chardei), fabulous runway choreography, exquisite styles, and upbeat tunes. Professionally managed by Maggy Francois, Crystal Couture’s runway show put Crystal City on the map of the fashion world!
Couture - 2450 Crystal Drive
Crystal Couture began in 2009 as a fortnight of fabulous fashion, fun, and ridiculousness! It featured two weeks of wild and entertaining fashions designs, including the Tat Tuesday, Freaky Friday Gala, and Saturday Night of Lingerie. Each night of the inaugural Couture showcased a different style. Couture then shifted its focus from many themes to just one theme. The 2010 edition of Crystal Couture was six nights of Wild, Sexy, Fashionable fun. The models and boutiques highlighted jungles, jeans, tats, and tease.
