Crystal Screen: By The Numbers
The Crystal City BID is proud to announce the theme for next year's movie festival: Crystal Screen: By The Numbers, and this year the viewers get to choose the movies that will be shown. We have a great line up of movies that includes everything from Air Force One to Million Dollar Baby. Click here to vote for the movie that you want to see next year. The winning movies will be unveiled on August 16th at the final Crystal Screen: Star Trek.

The Crystal City Business Improvement District (BID) is turning up the heat with the return of the flavor-filled fourth annual Vintage Crystal. The spice is back with more wines, food, music and dancing. Building on last year’s Latin-themed success, Crystal City will once again be serving up tasty tapas, tempting tequila, and a ton of fun.

From Monday, July 19th, through Saturday, July 24th, Crystal City will be the picture of health for the DC Metropolitan region with a series of events designed to keep the community fit, healthy, and green. The week will feature free outdoor yoga and Zumba classes, a fitness fair, farmers’ market, community bike ride, and an evening 5K race – something for everybody!

Moonlight will illuminate the course as runners take their marks for the 3rd Annual Crystal City Twilighter 5K race on Saturday, July 24th at 8 PM. Hosted by the Crystal City Business Improvement District (BID) in partnership with Pacers Running Stores, the Twilighter features spectacular nighttime views of Crystal City along a fast, flat course through area streets followed by a festive, outdoor, post-race party.

The Crystal City Business Improvement District (BID) announced the theme for their 2011 outdoor movie series in front of a packed lawn of over 800 people at last night’s opening of Crystal Screen: Star Trek. The 5th annual summer movie festival, Crystal Screen: By The Numbers, will feature 12 viewer-selected movies that contain numerical variations in their titles. Qualifying movies that could make next year’s schedule include such hits as Air Force One, Million Dollar Baby, Sixth Sense, and 1984.

The Crystal City Business Improvement District (BID) is proud to announce the opening of a new art exhibit at 2011 Crystal Drive. In collaboration with Congressman Jim Moran’s office, 68 pieces from An Artistic Discovery: The Congressional Art Competition for the 8th District of Virginia are located in Crystal City and available for public viewing.
